Sun.Sea.Sand.Wind

Went for a 8 days holiday! Yippee!

Travel to me had always been a tiring event simply because everyday I will be waking up early so as not to waste time sleeping my time away but over here, I will be sleeping my time away during the weekends. Hmm… time for a change.

And also while overseas, I am not able to sleep really well in a place so foreign.

Went to Phuket for 4 days, took the earliest flight out where I woke up at 4.30am in the morning to prepare and have last minute check of my luggage and reach airport by 6.30am the latest to check in. Can you imagine how tired I am where I slept at almost 1am the day before doing my last minute packing! But thinking of the blue sky and sea and the white sands perks me up a little. (“,)

When we reached phuket, we were being brought to the agency where they promote the various activity packages. The prices are not cheap. There are so many to do and being first time there ( the rest of my company have been several times) I have the privilege to choose what activity to do. So I pick the island hopping to Pipi island where it is a must go place. The package includes snorkeling & few island hopping. The whole activity will start at 7am in the morning and back to hotel in the evening. Tired Tired!

First day was walking around the town, sitting around, relaxing and people watch. We are tanned as a result! The weather was so hot!

Second day, we start off taking a 1 hour speed boat ride to Pi Pi island. As there is no seats left inside the speed boat, we sat at the front of the speed boat. I thought “ whao the view must be good, feel the wind and sun! “ Hahaha.. I am totally wrong!! The ride is torturous! The boat was so bumpy, we sat in front experiencing being “thrown” up and down until our butt “cracked” ! and its for 1 hour!!

It is indeed an experience for all of us!

We were being dropped off Maya Bay first to walk around and toilet was 100m away and its looks so primitive. After which is Pi Pi island to snorkel. I don’t really like snorkeling as I have phobia being in the sea but I still went ahead. The water was not very clear. I only saw few types of fishes and a jelly fish. The last time I been to Redang, the water was much clearer and saw more fishes.

Well, I must say Pi Pi island is such a disappointment. People have told me that the island is so beautiful. To me the island is not at all captivating. And the mainland Pi Pi Don is so commercialised filled up with stalls selling stuffs to foreigners like us.

And finally we were brought to an island ( I can’t remember its name) to bake for 1 and half hour.. I took the chance to walk around to take some photos. It was a nice beach!

Finally home sweet home to resort where we proceed to massage for 2 hours! Shiok Shiok!

For the third and fourth day, I did nothing except lazing on the beach bench to bake myself a little as I was already burned from the island hopping trip. I manage to read a little and sleep a little. I guess this is the slow life we should indulge ourselves in every now and then to recharge our mind and body.

For all the beaches I went; Redang, Tioman, Bali and Phuket. I find Bali is with the best beach so far. (“,) Maldives will be the beach I very much wanted to go in time to come.
